Dr. Jessalynn Keller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication, Media and Film at the University of Calgary.

She is the author of Girls’ Feminist Blogging in a Postfeminist Age (2015), Digital Feminist Activism: Girls and Women Fight back against Rape Culture (Oxford University Press, forthcoming) with Dr Kaitlynn Mendes and Prof. Jessica Ringrose, and has published her research on girls’ digital cultures, feminist media production, and celebrity in journals such as Continuum: Journal of Media and Cultural Studies, Feminist Media Studies, Information, Communication and Society, Celebrity Studies, Women’s Studies International Forum, and the Journal of Gender Studies (2016). Jessalynn is a steering committee member of the International Girls Studies Association and was recently a plenary speaker at the 2016 Console-ing Passions International Conference on Television, Video, Audio, New Media and Feminism in Indiana, USA. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013.
